We are a family-run breeder located in the foothills of Mount Diablo, in the Virginia Hills neighborhood of Martinez, California (San Francisco Bay Area). Our passion is raising quality English Labrador Retrievers who bring joy, companionship, and love into families’ lives.
Our Story
My name is Dan. I graduated from Veterinary School in Romania in 2005 and have worked at a veterinary clinic in Orinda, California, ever since. My love for animals began when I was just 8 years old—the same age as my son was when we started this journey.
My wife, Cristina, graduated from Chemistry University in 2005, and together we’ve built a life centered around family, hard work, and our shared passion for animals.
Our son, Luca, is a big part of our story too. He is passionate about swimming and competes on a swim team, loves to bike, and spends countless hours playing and bonding with our Labradors. Watching him grow alongside our dogs is one of the greatest joys of our family life.
We’ve always loved dogs, especially Labradors. Starting Diablo Valley Labradors has been a dream come true for us, and we feel blessed to share this passion with our community.
